All reunions after a long absence add each other's colors and footprints over the years. Either light or thick.
Summer represents regret and freedom to Muke; she once had and lost in summer, the cicadas chirped non-stop and the shadows of the trees surged.
It's the waves of memories that come and go from time to time, and the story begins and ends abruptly.
"You don't like me, do you sympathize with me? You want to make up for the regrets of the past, and you want to complete the process that was originally set... I just happened to want to fall in love, and you wanted to leave something in the season you like, and I happened to show up..."
...
Much later, on a summer day when they were walking hand in hand, she thought of this sentence again, and of those awkward and lengthy thoughts,
"It's not that you just happened to show up, it's that I want to leave many, many more in the season with you, and we still have many summers."
Mission: No regrets
