This "Journey to the West" continues the story of "Journey to the West", but it is different in form. Five hundred years after "Journey to the West", Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Monk Sha, who finally achieved enlightenment, could not bear the loneliness, so they asked the Buddha to resign, and wanted to retire from the Buddhist class, return to their hometown, and be free people. Tathagata Buddha was kind-hearted and granted their request. At the time of separation, the three brothers went to Chang'an City to visit their master Tang Sanzang. Before leaving, Tang Sanzang asked Wukong to go to Leiyin Temple to deliver a letter to Buddha Tathagata. The letter said: "Nowadays, the evil thoughts of all living beings are everywhere in the world, wars are constant, and people are in dire straits. Therefore, there is an urgent need for our Buddha to have a true scripture that explains the fundamentals of good and evil. If there is no cause and effect, I pray that the Buddha can pass on such scriptures to the world." The Buddha Tathagata counted the candidates for teaching the scriptures. At this time, Tao Muwa, the son of the great sage Qitian, caused trouble in the heaven again, which led to the birth of Lazy Hanwa, the descendant of Bajie, Morova, the descendant of Sha Seng, and Xiu Shanwa, the adopted son of Tang Sanzang, and started the story of the four babies preaching sutras to the Buddha. The story in the book is full of ups and downs, using the images of four children to illustrate the words and deeds of adults without losing innocence. The book also deliberately describes the splendid scenery, customs, poetry, music, chess, calligraphy and painting, martial arts skills, Chinese quintessence of culture, and the breadth and depth of delicacies of China. The demons and monsters in "Biao Jing Ji" and "Journey to the West" are slightly different. In addition to animals, many of them are mythical or ferocious beasts recorded in ancient China, so they have traces of Chinese history and culture.
Purpose: In order to make good in the world prevail and eliminate all evil, the four fairy children, the descendants of the four masters and disciples of Tang Monk, spread the truth of cause and effect to the world for the Buddha. During the teaching of scriptures, demons were slain and demons were slain, demonstrating the true meaning of the cycle of cause and effect, as well as the beautiful scenery, customs, poetry, poetry, chess, calligraphy and painting, martial arts skills, quintessence of Chinese culture, and the profoundness of China's cuisine.
