There is a little fairy hidden in Yaoxian Lake, and a osmanthus flower is exchanged for elixir.
A long time ago, not many people lived near Yaoxian Lake, and the lake had no name.
A medicine girl got tired of collecting herbs, so she pitched a tent by the lake and went to sleep. When she woke up, she saw a woman outside the tent, wrapped in rags, but with extremely white and glowing skin.
The medicine girl handed her a long gown and asked her to taste the home-brewed osmanthus wine.
The two chatted happily. At sunset, the woman rowed a broken boat and took Yao Gu to the center of the lake.
The further they rowed, the thicker the fog became, and soon the boat carried the two of them to land.
Yao Gu didn't know whether this land was on the other side of the lake or an island in the lake, but most of the plants here were Chinese medicinal materials, some she knew and others she didn't know, and there were so many varieties that she couldn't even count them.
There are many women-like people here, who are as handsome as fairies in picture books, but they are all wearing rags.
Yao Gu gave them the long and short robes in her luggage, and of course the osmanthus wine.
A month later, the medicine girl was sent back to the lake with a bag full of medicinal materials.
But just a few steps after getting off the boat, the woman and the boat disappeared when she turned around.
Yao Gu then moved to live by the lake and made a living by selling traditional Chinese medicine. She often wandered by the lake with her cup of osmanthus wine.
This is the legend of Yaoxian Lake that Bai Lu has heard since childhood.
It's just a paradise, a fairy tale for adults to escape reality.
"No, the story you heard is only part of the story." Bai Lu's uncle became serious, "That Yao Gu never gave up looking for a way to get back to the island in the middle of the lake."
"And, she found it."
