The experiment of preserving living human samples has come to an end. A hundred years ago, people who could not be cured at that time were frozen and sent to a hundred years later. Among them were not only patients but also volunteers. Those volunteers had no worries and were undoubtedly the best choice.
They will usher in a new life, but this is not the case for patients. Not only do they endure physical torture, but they also have no relatives to accompany them in a hundred years. So the time machine appears, and they can use technology to go back to the past. They wait endlessly, waiting to be released from the cryocontainer, free from the pain and return to their relatives. This is their only thought.
For volunteers, they can't go back, and they don't want to go back. They are just volunteers and have no guarantee to go back to the past, so they have to stay in the future. For some of them, their parents forced them to sign for the small amount of consolation money. Others can't stay in the original society and think about going to the future. This is the majority. There are also those who don't have parents and want to contribute to the country's science and technology.
The two protagonists met in this dramatic experiment. Who would have thought that there would be an error in the time machine before the unfreezing mission? It sucked everyone in the room in. No one knew when they would be sent to or how long they would have to wait there before someone would come to rescue them. One of them, Jiang Feng, seemed to have been sent not long before the experiment started.
The two protagonists meet because of an accident. What they think is unexpected is history that cannot be changed, repeating itself like a Möbius strip.
Intention: future
