When Lin Xiaotong met Huang Lixian, they were only seven years old. Lin Xiaotong was in the same class in elementary school and junior high school, and Lin Xiaotong entered the key class in high school. Huang Lixian finally crossed the line and entered high school, but was separated on both sides of the school corridor.
As the post-80s generation born after the reform and opening up, they experienced the changes brought about by economic development and social opening up. They spent their wonderful childhood and ignorant boyhood in northern counties. After graduating from college, they moved away from their hometown. Like their peers, they faced the sacrifice and balance of career and family. They supported each other and helped each other. Finally, they established themselves in the developed cities in the south and started a hard-working life in a foreign land. Although there were quarrels, run-ins, misunderstandings and conflicts after marriage, no one let go of holding each other's hand through the ups and downs.
This article tends to be daily-oriented, with ups and downs amidst the plainness of the story, and is also intended to commemorate the author's own aging and blurred youth.
