Tang Yan was an adopted child and was diagnosed with congenital heart disease when he was eight years old. On the day of the heart transplant, both adoptive parents were killed by heretics.
Tang Yan had a healthy body, but completely lost his family. He vowed that he would become a monster hunter so that such tragedies would never happen again.
