Half a century after the end of the Xilin Party rule, the novelist met an old man who was over seventy years old on a bench in Huntingdon Gardens. He claimed that he worked in the notorious Intelligence Division of the Internal Affairs Bureau when he was young, and had a special personal relationship with the director of the Intelligence Division who underwent a secret trial.
Driven by curiosity, the novelist made an appointment with the old man to meet every day in Huntington Gardens and listen to his indifferent but strange narration. A story that no one would believe gradually emerged from the troubled times half a century ago.
