In the spring of the ninth year of Zhaoling in Dayin, the marshal led 300,000 troops across the Muyou River and marched southward to the seventeen cities of Nanyin. As for Yinfengchuan and Qingcheng, Emperor Zhaoling of Dayin wanted to promote the peace of Emperor Sui of Nanyin. In the autumn of the ninth year of Zhaoling, the marshal returned to the court with protons, treasures, and precious ceded lands, but was attacked at Huiyangding.
