The story of Liu Shiyue and Xiao An
Liu Shiyue was the subjugated princess of the Wei Kingdom, and Xiao An was the regent of the Xiao Dynasty. She originally chose to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff, but was mistakenly rescued by the Bai family, the prime minister of the Xiao Dynasty. The young lady of the Bai family ran away to escape the marriage. In order to marry the regent, the Bai family had to marry off the newly rescued Liu Shiyue.
