The two male protagonists are Yu Yun and Jiang Hui. In a Tang Dynasty Chinese painting without knowing it, they recognize each other and simultaneously find themselves in the painting. Later they were forced to separate because of ancient traditional thinking. Yu Yun couldn't bear the public opinion and committed suicide. After Jiang Hui found out, they suddenly went out to paint. Because Kui Shui tore up the painting, Yu Yun did not die, and they continued to live in the real world. The painter Kui Shui was forced to tear up the painting and commit suicide.
