The story begins in the evening when the cicadas are chirping in midsummer. Yan Wan grabs Sang Sang who is standing on the rooftop. At the end of the story, she stands in front of the tombstone and looks at the brightly smiling girl on the tombstone and whispers: "Sang Sang, I won't come to see you next year." She turns around and jumps off the bridge, hugging her little girl who loves to cry.
