When a person who dies in a tragic accident or dies young, someone close to him or her can be chosen to carry the hair of the deceased and practice it for seven days. This will wash away the sins of the previous life, exchange the blessings of reincarnation, and achieve peace in this life. This is seven days of meditation.

People at the time called him Jin Gong. In his later years, he painted a painting for a young boy and a turtle man in the Bajiao Lane Opera House.
