Turning to the first page of this book, maybe I should point to this article? At least it was in a book first and then posted online.
This takes place in the same world, with multiple related or unrelated stories.
The world view of the Cthulhu Mythos is not a running group. It mixes many Eastern and Western myths due to various legacy issues, but there are many private settings and magical changes.
