In some time and space unknown to us, there were only two continents in the world, floating on the vast sea.
The larger landmass is divided between two warlike states, which have been at war for generations (like fools who don't know why). The country in the north uses stone hammers made of ore as the universal weapon, while the countries in the south use scissors made of scissor-shaped pig iron as their signature weapon. So in telling this story, we call them the "Land of Hammers" and the "Land of Scissors."
As time goes by, the Kingdom of Scissors has been retreating steadily and is overwhelmed, so the king has no choice but to send a small team to ask for help from the "Cloth Clan" who live in seclusion on another continent. The Cloth Clan only accepts requests for help from members of the royal family, and is located on the territory where they live, the Cloth Island. There are layers of overlapping solid cloth curtains for defense. Only scissors can forcefully break them open.
However, the way to seek help is not easy. The fastest and closest shortcut requires crossing the Stone Hammer Kingdom in the middle. If the royal family of the Scissor Blade Kingdom is captured in the Stone Hammer Kingdom, it will be even more unfavorable to the war situation here.
