The book revolves around family, career, immigration and parenthood. Living in the United States always makes me think about the place of new immigrants here, and what will happen in the future? We hear about various demonstrations every day, but it's hard to really care. Will people become more and more indifferent? The four women in the story all pursue the hidden meaning of life in their own way, but the final result is often the opposite. It seems difficult for us to get rid of a sense of powerlessness, but we have plenty of energy to satisfy our own desires. Seeing more and more immigrants, I think of sterilization. I am afraid that the government will use this extraordinary method to control the population increase caused by immigrants, just like history. Most of the love here is ignorant. This is my understanding of love; career represents money. It seems that everyone cares more about who can treat people when they go out than who really lives their own life.
