A long time ago, we heard such a story: After Jehovah God created the heaven and earth and all things, he created the world's first human being, Adam, in the Garden of Eden. So the LORD caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed the flesh again. Jehovah made a woman from the rib he took from Adam. Adam said, "This is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. You can call her woman, because she was taken from man." So the two got married and lived together in the Garden of Eden.
Modern medical research shows that an adult male has 24 ribs.
