During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, a wealthy family in the Chu land was blessed with a pair of twin girls. The two girls were named Song, and the eldest daughter was named Yu. It was his wife who borrowed the meaning of birds from the Chu land and the Book of Songs.
