"If I had known that it would be the last time, I would have told you all the love words I have been saving for eighteen years." - Chen Ying's "Timely Rose Weather"
Autumn Ember Rose
In the autumn of that year, the roses were lost in the fire.
There is a transfer student in our class today, named Chen Ying. He comes in the fall.
It was raining that day, and it was drizzling. Wen Geyu thought of his name and a word his mother once said, "timely rain."
Chen Ying, you are my timely rain.
But no matter how timely the rain was, it could not extinguish the fire in autumn.
He was ready to confess his love and offer his devotion to the rose that belonged to him alone, but she was trapped in the fire forever.
The rose flower turned to ashes and he could never see her again.
Excerpt 1·First encounter
When they first met her, the roses were scattered all over the floor, but the boy just checked whether his limited edition skateboard was scratched.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
He pointed to the roses on the ground and said a very ignorant statement very proudly: "I want all your roses."
Wen Geyu: "..."
"This is Rose."
Clip 2·Heartbeat
"Is it raining? What's your name, classmate?" See you again when you come here. Wen Geyu looked at him with an orange umbrella in a teasing tone.
The orange umbrella surface suddenly tilted, separating the dense rain curtain.
Chen Ying looked at the cat pendant dangling on the umbrella handle. His heartbeat suddenly accelerated and his breathing became somewhat rapid.
During an evening study session, she quietly leaned into his ear and said, "Chen Ying, I like you so much." The rose-scented whisper was so hot that the tip of his pen smudged ink on the paper.
The whispers of evening self-study mixed with the rain outside the window, and the moment the girl's breath brushed the tip of his ear, the voice-activated light in the corridor suddenly turned on.
He spent countless nights wondering if he could have stopped her from walking into the burning convenience store if he could have turned around and grabbed her wrist.
[Clip 3: Farewell at the fire scene]
The rose disappeared, and he received the last text message from her. He opened his phone and displayed a voice message from an hour ago. He opened it numbly, and heard her voice in his ears, as well as the noise of the fire burning over there:
"I can't get out, Chen Ying, I really want to see you."
"What a pity. I still want to pester you for the rest of my life until you like me, but there is no chance."
"I like you very much, Chen Ying."
"Can you, don't forget me too quickly."
[Fragment 4·Missed glance]
She said goodbye to him with her last contact details on her phone.
Wen Geyu likes Chen Ying. It rains heavily from the sky, but love will last forever in his memory.
After school on the day of the accident, he was as arrogant as usual. He failed to say goodbye to her properly and didn't even look at her.
—I thought we would meet again, so I didn't look at you.
—I later learned that it was the last sight I missed.
Last Love Letter
She doesn't have many belongings, except her mobile phone.
He shed tears when he saw this text in the memo on her mobile phone:
Mom, I met a boy, his name is Chen Ying, he is as arrogant as a little prince
But little prince Chen Ying knows a lot.
He likes skateboarding, and skateboarding looks like stepping on stars.
His overall grades were not very good, but he had an advantage in Chinese and English. Although he failed in mathematics, music was his talent.
He always says that mathematics is a design against humanity, but the lyrics he writes are as beautiful as poetry.
I think he must be a big singer in the future!
By then, I wasn't the only one who liked him.
Mom, if I confess to him, will there be a chance?
