As a bystander, you originally just watched the development of the story and recorded it, but the story didn't seem to want you to stay out, so you just participated in the story.
They go from being able to hear you to being able to see you, and you go from being a pendant to being a friend they chat with.
You will tell them stories about what you saw in other worlds and tell them how dazzling they are.
They will also try to tell you their feelings and tell you that the world is so beautiful.
You can't change their choices, so you just watch their experiences, encourage them when they are ready to give up, help them when they are lacking something, and then tell them, I will always be your reader.
