Zhong Wuqi (formerly known as Zhong Mu) grew up with Lin Chao. They were engaged since childhood and spent a short and sweet love story in adulthood. Later, due to the decline of the Zhong family and changes in the world, the two had to be separated. Lin Chao was married to Zhao Yuquan by his parents.
