The Buddha said: "All love and kindness will never last long. There are many fears in this life, and life is in danger from the morning dew. From love comes sorrow, from love comes fear. If you are separated from the one you love, you will have no worries and no fear."
The first half of this verse comes from "Buddha Speaks of the Deer Mother Sutra" translated by Zhu Fahu in the Western Jin Dynasty, and the second half comes from "Buddha Speaks of the Deer Mother Sutra" translated by Yijing in the Tang Dynasty.
It means that all kindness and love in the world are caused by fate, like dreams, dew and lightning, and cannot last long.
