Youth is so messy.
Ever since I read Sun Rui's "In the Grass", I have fallen in love with this type of book, which is both real and nihilistic, awesome and stupid. Later, I read similar books in the library, but I was still not satisfied. I came up with the idea of writing a book myself. After watching the movie "The Girls We Chased Together", the idea of writing my college story became even more urgent. I originally thought it would be easy. I would write it in chronological order, compile it based on the deeds of a few good buddies, and then make it more awesome and great.
I overestimated my literary accomplishment and writing willpower. I started writing in 2011 before I graduated and wrote several notebooks. In 2012, I took these notebooks to Xinjiang. I thought that with the nostalgia, writing ideas would come to me like a spring, but there was no spring in the Gobi Desert. Although I couldn't fulfill my wish, I learned guitar from a classmate from Xinjiang. The novel is not finished, but I have collected the three major hobbies of the male protagonists: playing guitar, writing novels, and playing football.
From 2011 until 2022, I thought about giving up countless times. Every time I read it myself, I often feel that it is just a pile of literary garbage. Then I thought about it, isn't youth just so messy? So much so that I comfort myself: I just write and play, just to miss my youth, nothing more.
In 2023, it was finally finished. It can be regarded as an end to the awesomeness that I boasted about back then.
Purpose: Even if you go to a not very good university, you will still have a youth worth remembering
