I, a wanderer, wander in this city with my cat. Every sunny afternoon, I sit in the sun holding my cat and bask in the sun; or, quietly enjoy scenes of laughter and curses in the shadows of the street.
I stopped and walked through every corner of this city, not staying anywhere. I tried to find a place of silence, a place of cleanliness, but all I could see was noise and chaos. I watched people build a high wall, and then watched the same people tear it down, and then a new high wall was built... I saw the illusory vision in people's eyes and the heavy life on their backs; I heard the chants of praise, the songs of dreams, and the curses from the underground mixed into the source of all the noise. I know that people's smiles contain a deception that they don't even know they have.
I like my cat, who is black, to wear a little golden bell around her neck, a bell that never rings. I picked him up in a corner of the city, and I picked up his bell on the other side of the city. I like to call him Mei, I like to find the most fragrant milk and fresh fish for him, I like to snuggle up to him for warmth, and I also like to look for his thin figure beside the trash can. I thought this was all my love, for a cat, the black cat called Mei.
Every day, I always wake up at the quietest moment and start my journey. As the city becomes more and more noisy, I just look up and look for the increasingly sparse stars. I believe that our lives are destined by the stars and will be guided by the stars. Now, I am confused, looking at all living beings in confusion.
