A Record of the Crown Prince Nezha Raising Rabbits

Fiery little jade rabbit × sweet, guileless lotus Gu Tu was a jade rabbit from the Moon Palace. While on a mission in the mortal realm, she was mistaken for a wild rabbit by Nezha, who took her home and raised her. Fine, he could raise her. But why abandon her halfway through? By then, the Investiture of the Gods War was nearing its end. The Jie Sect had set up the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation, and the young general Nezha released her back into the mountains. They met again at the Heavenly Court's Peach Banquet. Gu Tu stared grimly at Nezha, the Great Deity of the Three Altars and Seas. Nezha glanced back and asked, “Did I offend you?” Gu Tu answered without thinking, “You're the worst person in the whole world!” Nezha was silent for a moment, then actually laughed. Fuming with rage, Gu Tu finally found her chance one day. She bound Nezha's hands and locked him up in the Guanghan Palace, so he could experience what it felt like to be abandoned halfway through being raised. Nezha was surprisingly obedient and didn't resist. He was just a bit demanding. One day he wanted lotus-root starch dumplings; the next, a bath in lotus petals. Although Gu Tu was kept rushing around to wait on him, she took it in stride. After all, he had looked after her the same way before. She carried on with her plan, intending to leave Nezha for good. But just as she turned away, someone suddenly wound her sash around his finger. Nezha wrapped an arm around her waist and held her shoulder, his breath brushing over her upright, motionless ears. “I still have six arms. Why didn't you bind those too?” Reader's note: The early chapters follow the Investiture of the Gods storyline, while the later chapters follow Journey to the West. The heroine's name and some of the inspiration come from Questions to Heaven: “What virtue has the moonlight, that it dies and is born again?
