Preface
"Grain Rain and Winter Solstice", formerly known as "Good Night, Child", is a novel that the author started writing when he was in college, recording college campus life and reminiscing about his youth.
The original title of the novel was inspired by an unintentional conversation between the two protagonists. The male protagonist said "good night" to the heroine before going to bed. The tone of his voice did not know whether it contained his guilt for not helping to move things, his inner admiration for this independent and brave girl, or some other subtle emotion. Therefore, the heroine felt that it was very pretentious, inexplicable and novel, so she replied "good night" out of politeness.
Following the development of the story, the word "good night" not only represents a greeting, but also the connotation extended by this word on the Internet is presented in the entire story. Many friends born in the 1980s who like to surf the Internet must have read this meme: Good night means "W A N A N".

I have always wanted to write something to commemorate my youth. I wanted to express and share some of my thoughts or feelings at that time in words. I thought about it for a while when I graduated from college, but because my computer broke down and I sent it back for repair, I lost all the hidden files. These files were some of my diaries, essays, and some photos from my previous college days. I was so angry that I put the idea of writing an article on hold.
Today, six years later, I have figured out that there is no need to be too angry if the diary is lost. Words always have to travel in the imagination to be comfortable, so you don't have to care too much about the authenticity. So I once again picked up the ideas I had put aside for many years, and recounted the youth we had spent together in those years...
