But he escaped the first day of junior high school but not the fifteenth day. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, my grandfather was sentenced to thirteen years in prison for being a bandit. But thirteen years of prison reform did not stop greater tragedies from happening to my grandfather. The life of my bandit grandfather was filled with the vagaries of fate, the calculations of brothers from the same race, and the heroic spirit of a passionate man.
