Japan's top band VAMPS announced on its official website that the 2010 VAMPS World Tour will start this summer, spanning North America, South America, Europe and Asia. It will sweep rock power around the world at a furious speed and spread its music and the concept of peace to every corner. The first stop in China in October is Shanghai, where the World Expo is being held.
VAMPS was formed in 2008 by HYDE, the lead singer of L'Arc~en~Ciel (Rainbow Band), and K. A. Z, the guitarist of Oblivion Dust (Doomsday Dust). The group name is taken from the meaning of "Vampire". It is a new rock group that is currently attracting quite a lot of attention.
