In the early years of Jianping, Emperor Shun of Liang ascended the throne. The queen was overjoyed when she gave birth to a legitimate daughter, and she was named Princess Changle before she was one month old. In the same year in the North, the Wanyan clan was granted the title of General Protector for their merits.
In the sixth year of Jianping, Emperor Shun sent his younger brother to the south of the Yangtze River to control floods, and all eighteen states in the south came under his control. The general protecting the country in the north sought power, ascended the throne and proclaimed himself emperor, and changed his title to Qian. From then on, the Liang and Qian dynasties continued to have disputes.
In the tenth year of Jianping, the war lasted for four years. Liang was defeated by Daqian, and finally broke through the Liang imperial capital in mid-August. Daqian unified the north. Empress Liang died for her country. The court officials escorted Changle to the south of the Yangtze River and supported Zhao Duo in establishing the Southern Liang.
At this point, our story has just begun.
