Asano Hanbee Nagasora, the second son of the great daimyo Asano Yukinaga. Born in a family of military commanders, he has always been ignored because of his preference for literature. His half-brother Asano Nagatsuki inherited the position of family governor.
Coinciding with the death of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first general who conquered barbarians in Edo, 20-year-old Asano Nagakora resigned from his idle position and left his hometown in order to fulfill the last wish of his mother who died young.
Because of his grandfather's cat demon bloodline, Asano can see monsters that ordinary people can't see and learn some onmyoji. Therefore, he made a living by doing some work of exorcising ghosts and demons during his journey.
And the young man, Momiji, who has been infected with demon power for a long time and awakens from the relic maple leaf, becomes Asano's traveling companion. Together, they unearth stories buried in the long river of history and fulfill the wishes of those "evil ghosts" in order to achieve the "exorcism" effect in the eyes of humans.
In the meantime, he fulfills his mother's last wish to return the naginata to her old friend, and helps Hongye retrieve her past memories.
Three years later, Asano, who traveled all over Japan, returned home and wrote the book "Edo One Hundred Demons", which recorded his travels and ghost stories through writing and ink.
Concept: People and ghosts coexist harmoniously, with the theme of "love" and "freedom" running through it.
