There is a cram school on the path leading to Qingxian Lane. The female protagonist Cheng Yao came to see her cousin Qi Bai because she was bored. The male protagonist Li Yunya happened to be passing by for something, so he met the female protagonist through Qi Bai, because Li Yunya and Cheng Yao were classmates in the same school. Cheng Yao doesn't talk much at school and is often isolated by her classmates. The male protagonist has been secretly helping her since he saw her. He confessed to the female protagonist on the male protagonist's birthday.
