Ma Lin'er's real name is Zhao Lin'er, originally from Huizhou, and later moved to a village near Ruzhou. When he was young, he was told by a fortune teller that he would have a short life. By chance, he was accepted as a disciple by Ma Zongyi, a Taoist priest of the Maoshan sect when he was ten years old. He traveled all over the country to slay demons and defend the Tao.
It is the path for a young boy to grow into a true Taoist priest.
Intention: Evil will not prevail against good, and justice will eventually defeat evil.
