Nanako Is a Heartthrob

I knew a little bit about it before reading it. From the moment Biehl and the others entered the concentration camp, I had a hunch that he might not be able to leave. I feel that there is careful research on historical data, and the characters' positions, thoughts, and reasons for their formation are all written in great detail! In the early stage, the two protagonists had a lot of interactions but very little communication. This was due to their personalities, but also because of their status as a German officer and a Soviet prisoner of war. I actually really want to see a psychological description from Fegeley's perspective... Among the prisoners of war, he discovered that Beer, whom he had met once in childhood but had given him warmth, felt guilty about letting him die. Letting him go was even more contrary to his position and the country. Then on the CP line, what impressed me the most was Biehl's gray eyes and several confrontations in the early and mid-term. The two people were like sharp blades, colliding together and sparks bursting out. The relationship between them felt like a fire under the glacier, restrained, buried, and covered with a thick layer of snow. This feeling... They have kissed and communicated in depth. They have feelings for each other, but in the whole story, only at the end where the ice lake embraces each other, there is a feeling that they are lovers. The ending is the climax of the whole story, and it is also the most beautiful and painful part. They love each other but can't abandon their positions. Fegeley still can't let Bel go, and Bel won't choose to stay for him, so they can only die together and wait until the afterlife where there is peace and no war to become lovers again. The look and feel is quite complex. Most of the emotional experience generated while reading is given by the ending chapter. The story has a heavy and cold tone. Overall, it is a very unique article.
