The eight tears of Meng Po Soup are as follows: one drop of raw tears, two cups of old tears, three cups of bitter tears, four cups of regret tears, five cups of lovesickness tears, six cups of tears during illness, and seven feet of separation tears. This eighth taste is the sad tears of a Meng Po soup. The Eight Tears of Mengpo Soup are used as a guide to remove the bitterness and leave the sweetness.
