When I was a child, I made an agreement with Zuo Qingzhou that when he was angry, he only had to do three things. The first was to give me my favorite sweet-scented osmanthus cake; the second was to come and coax me in person; and the third was to let him figure it out.
When I made up my mind to leave Zuo Qingzhou, he did two things when I left the palace. I think he may have understood that no one can persuade me to do anything I decide. It wasn't until we met again later that I understood the third thing he did for me.
