According to legend, the world tree "Yggdrasil" appeared at the beginning of the world. Its trunk held up space in nothingness, and time spread outward from its branches. The top of its tree crown is called "sky", while the soil below its roots is called "earth".
The elven country "Yarfheim" is located at the junction of heaven and earth, and is where the World Tree takes root. It is suspended above the ground and connected to the ground water by a huge waterfall.
This is a land full of magic and spells, a place where ancient powers sleep, and a cradle of new things.
