This article tells the story of civilian life in Shanxi from the Central Plains War in 1930 (during the Nanjing National Government) to 1931 after the September 18th Incident.
The protagonist Fang Zi left the landlord Mr. Liang's house to join his uncle. He met Er Man by chance in his uncle's village and made friends with him. Fang Zi and Er Man are not inseparable, but they have a deep friendship. They are each other's short-term but solid support in difficult times. And successively embarked on the road of revolution.
