Outside the car window were Lin Le and Wang Chi who had fallen off the chain. The car that was running all the way turned him into a gradually blurred picture. Looking out from the back seat, only the setting sun was chasing behind the car window with its long and scattered tail. I closed my eyes, but my heart was moved. Many years later, I read a quote by Milan Kundera, "In the afterglow of dusk, everything appears tender; even the cruel gallows will be illuminated by the light of nostalgia." Maybe what I miss is just the sinking sunset in the early summer of 2005.
Determination: Riding a horse on a spring day will make this trip worthwhile for you and me.
