The novel describes the growth process of an ordinary military family, spanning from the early days of liberation to the 1980s. Through the memories of the protagonist's family for thirty years, it reproduces the pursuit and belief of an anti-war veteran, as well as the education and inheritance received by his children.
Purpose: Through the memories of the family life of an ordinary Anti-Japanese War veteran, to show the feelings, beliefs and pursuits of thousands of Anti-Japanese War veterans.
