The golden lion and the sun are the emblem of the De Glenry royal family. They are also the flag pattern of the Glenry Empire and the soul of the army.
A lion embroidered with pure gold thread and a red sun dyed with ocher flutter in the wind on the black satin flag, guiding the empire's best soldiers to invincibility.
Under the banner were gathered the most heroic and fearless warriors of Glenre, marching on blood, mud, flesh and scorched bones. They only move forward, not backward. Even the strongest fortress and the most stubborn enemy cannot stop their progress, except death. Death in battle and burial in the wilderness are their most glorious destinations.
In the eyes of the enemy, they are vicious invaders, like those terrible and ferocious army ants in the desert, with no sign of life wherever they pass. They looted jeweled beauties, gold and grain, and slaughtered babies and defenseless old men.
But in the eyes of the Imperial people, they are triumphant heroes and defenders as brave and powerful as lions, ravaging and killing all opponents who dare to invade its territory. They brought back huge war reparations, carloads of cheap slaves, and supreme glory.
The golden lion and the blazing sun were with them.
