In the early days of the Republic of China, the domestic warlords were separatist and the situation was turbulent. Song Zheng, the airborne commander of the Peking Garrison Command, started the Zhifeng War. After Song Zheng was injured, he developed a relationship with the heroine Meng Qingyun. Later, the heroine's father, the director of the Peking Arms Department, was assassinated. The heroine joined the Communist Party and became estranged from the warlord's subordinate Song Zheng.
