The summer at that time was different from the summer when I grew up. It had a faint sweetness and the fragrance of leaves. When the wind blew outside, the half-drawn light curtains bulged into a big bag, and the room was instantly filled with the fragrance of flowers and plants. The fragrance was warm and reminded me of a fluffy quilt after being exposed to the sun. In the summer that followed, my memory was always mixed with the smell of sand and the smell of hot gasoline carried by the bus. Unless there was a strong wind and rain, no breeze could blow the heavy curtains.
