A short story I wrote two years ago. . I don't know if it's a novel or an essay. . . It's a novel. . . It should be understood that it is different from history, please do not bring history into it. . .
The Northern Qi Dynasty is used as the background because this period of dynasty was chaotic and broken. It was a model of stupidity and violence that subjugated the country. There were six kings in more than twenty years, the battles between uncles, nephews, fathers and sons, the suspicions of kings and ministers, and the characters who sadly passed away in history. Such a period of history often has more doubts and shining points to be discovered. I am not trying to create a piece of history, nor am I trying to pervert a piece of history, but simply to tell a story through these characters that may or may not exist in official history. No matter family, love, friendship or loyalty, they can't stop the pace of history. The fall of the Northern Qi Dynasty is inevitable, even if there are ministers like Lanling King Gao Changgong and General Hu Luguang. In feudal society, it is said that if the king wants his ministers to die, they must die. They may have struggled or had conflicts, but in the end there was too much powerlessness. We have no way of verifying the truth of history, but every period of history always has one or two or more stories behind it that make us imagine and paint more exciting stories.
