The Anshi Rebellion was the turning point in the decline of the Tang Dynasty from the end of Xuanzong to the beginning of Daizong in the Tang Dynasty. This civil war caused the Tang Dynasty to lose a large number of people and its national power was sharply reduced. Because the commanders who initiated the rebellion against the Tang Dynasty were An Lushan and Shi Siming, the incident was named after An Shi. And because it broke out during the Tianbao period of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, it was also called the Tianbao Rebellion. The cause of all this actually came from the conspiracy of the remnants of Wu Zhou and the cultists.
