When I first arrived at Hogwarts, Mr. Sorting Hat struggled for a long time about where I belonged. Gryffindor or Slytherin? Ultimately the choice was made by myself.
I know that Slytherin is where Voldemort once studied, and I know that there are many problems here. Prejudice, arrogance, unscrupulous but weak at heart. But is there really nothing here? Shrewdness and wisdom coexist, tact is a manifestation of high emotional intelligence, and being wise and protective comes from calmness and rationality. As for ambition and lust for power - whether you admit it or not, these are indispensable catalysts for human progress.
Just like a coin has two sides, every quality has its two sides. Slytherins are not necessarily evil, and Gryffindors are not necessarily heroes.
Someone must eventually break through the darkness and guide Slytherin in the right direction.
