Tao Tao can remember things when she is four years old. Her childhood life is engraved in her mind like a movie, running out from time to time. From Tao Tao's perspective, the novel tells the fragments of her childhood in the countryside and the city, and sees the love and hatred of people in the distant countryside as well as the simple efforts and struggles of people living in a certain corner with the development of Chinese society.
