Ives has been burdened with a curse since he was born. After his death, his soul will be made into a beautiful doll by the demon king Canapona and placed in his hotbed full of blood and bones every day. Ives hates that nasty demon, so he has to fight against that girl and find a way to remove this damn curse.
So Mr. Ives worked in vain for the Holy Church for thirty years. If he hadn't had a sarcastic face, he would have become the Holy Son or something. Singing in a bright church can inspire a group of fanatical people to believe, instead of memorizing obscure incantations and slashing those glaring demons with a machete.
Of course, the beginning of this story does not begin with Ives's shabby childhood, which is nothing to mention. Everything starts with Ives' encounter with the mysterious oriental boy.
