"I know we liked each other, but now I'm alone."
The lights in the hospital corridor flickered on and off.
I got out of bed and walked to the window, the afterglow of the moon shone on my face.
The night was very quiet, and I thought about it again and again. Still don't know what I forgot?
*
People always say to me: "It's time for you to let go, it's been five years."
It's been five years, what should I let go of?
The hospital during the day lost its silence at night, and I lay on the bed doing nothing.
The flashing fragments in my mind gave me a splitting headache.
"I finally remembered."
"But should I let it go?"
"If I let go, will I forget you?"
"I think it's time for us to meet again." The smile on my face deepened.
*
I stood on the bridge, the wind blew slowly, blowing my hair.
The Yellow River is under the bridge. The water is churning and the temperature drops sharply.
I opened my arms and felt relief like never before.
"I'm here to accompany you."
The river water is freezing cold, I will accompany you.
But things always backfired, my tears stayed behind and blended into the Yellow River and into you.
"I will always think of everything about you. Please don't be sad."
Be short story.
