Preface
In 1127 AD, the Northern Song Dynasty was attacked and destroyed by the Jin Dynasty established by the Jurchen tribe in Northeast China. The two emperors Huizong and Qinzong were captured and went northward, which was known as the "Jingkang Incident" in history. Zhao Gou, King Kang of the Northern Song Dynasty, proclaimed himself emperor in Yingtian Mansion, and later made his capital Lin'an, which was known as the Southern Song Dynasty in history. Zhao Gou is Song Gaozong.
In the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty, the quality of the Song army improved significantly in its confrontation with the Jin army, and several more combat-effective troops were formed. In particular, the "Yue Family Army" commanded by Yue Fei had an outstanding record. However, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty and Prime Minister Qin Hui regarded Yue Fei and others as their thorns in the side, and took the initiative to seek peace from the Jin Dynasty. In 14 AD, the Southern Song Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty signed the Shaoxing Peace Treaty. Starting from the Huai River in the east and ending at Dashanguan in the west, the Southern Song Dynasty professed vassalage to the Jin Dynasty and paid a sum of money to the Jin Dynasty every year, called "Sui Gong". Yue Fei was also quickly arrested and killed by the Southern Song Dynasty court. After that, there were several more wars between the Song and Jin Dynasties. The status of the Southern Song Dynasty improved slightly, and it no longer bowed to the Jin Dynasty. Instead, it became a "nephew country" and continued to maintain the confrontation between the north and the south.
Born as the grandson of Yue Fei, the 13-year-old Yue Ke has always been obsessed with the Song Dynasty. However, due to the suppression of the court, Yue Ke had to remain anonymous for the first time. He changed his name to Shanshan Ke and accidentally met the Two Sects. From then on, he learned swordsmanship from Xuan Congtian, the leader of the Xuantian Sect. Later, he traveled around for 20 years and finally became the master of the Two Sects.
