With powerful ministers in power, the North Vietnamese court was divided into several factions, each with their own agenda. A marriage edict bound the titular King Chen to the Lu family, which held military power. In the dark, the old fox and beast smelled the fishy smell and waited for an opportunity to act. Troubles arose everywhere, and seemingly unrelated things formed a sword to break through the calm surface; an unintentional encounter started the change of a dynasty.
