The Xia Dynasty suffered from external and internal troubles. The old emperor of the Xia Dynasty was seriously ill and wanted the crown prince to succeed him. Several princes also wanted that position and killed each other for it. Until the old emperor died, the prince also died due to the struggle for power, and the remaining princes also suffered heavy losses in the struggle.
Gu Wenxiu was originally not interested in the throne. He only wanted to be an idle prince in his life, traveling around the great mountains and rivers of the Xia Dynasty. In the end, several of Gu Wenxiu's brothers died in the internal fighting, and Gu Wenxiu was promoted to the throne.
Five years after taking the throne, the border was temporarily stabilized. The Western Kingdom sent envoys to seek peace. Among the gifts was a jade pendant. By chance, Gu Wenxiu discovered that this jade pendant could communicate with the world on the other side.
In the end, Gu Wenxiu relied on this jade pendant to bring prosperity to Daxia.
Demining: Both the male and female protagonists are inseparable. In the ending, they share the same feelings but cannot be together (I don't know whether it counts as a be or a he. You can decide for yourself, little cuties.)
